The Japanese Language Learning Support System for Toyota City (JLLSSTC) was established in 2008, and is developed and managed by Toyota City with the help of Nagoya University, Toyota International Association, as well as regional and corporate aid.

The System aims to strengthen the local community through the development and promotion of a holistic system that gives non-native learners of the Japanese language living or working in Toyota City the support they need to master the language up to a level of proficiency necessary to handle everyday situations.

The System provides support to a highly localized network of Japanese language classes with a common focus in cultural exchange. In particular the System provides the support necessary for the setting up, management and improvement of such classes in response to the needs of the local community and companies.
